ทำไมต้องปรับปรุง ISO 14001?
ISO 14001: 2015 ถูกทบทวนและปรับปรุงเพื่อให้เหมาะสมกับแนวโน้มของสภาพการ ซึ่งได้แก่ความตระหนักที่เพิ่มขึ้นขององค์กรต่างๆ
ต่อปัจจัยที่ทำให้เกิดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมหรือมีอิทธิพลต่อผลกระทบนั้น เช่น การเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ
และบริบทที่แข่งขันกัน เป็นต้น อีกทั้งการเปลี่ยนแปลงมาตรฐานนี้เพื่อทำให้เข้ากันกับมาตรฐานระบบการจัดการอื่นๆด้วย
ISO 14001:2015 มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงสำคัญๆ ในเรื่องอะไร?
ISO 14001:2015 มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่สำคัญ 7 ประการ
1. การจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในกลยุทธ์ขององค์กร
– ได้เพิ่มบทบาทในกระบวนการวางแผนกลยุทธ์ โดยสนใจในการดำเนินการเพื่อลดความเสี่ยงและ/หรือใช้โอกาสให้เป็นประโยชน์
2. ความเป็นผู้นำ
– ผู้บริหารสูงสุดต้องแสดงให้เห็นถึงความเป็นผู้นำและความมุ่งมั่นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับระบบการบริหารสิ่งแวดล้อม
3. การปกป้องสิ่งแวดล้อม
– มีความมุ่งมั่นในการปกป้องสิ่งแวดล้อม ได้แก่ การป้องกันมลพิษ (prevention of pollution) และ ความมุ่งมั่นเฉพาะอื่นๆ (other specific commitments)
ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับบริบทขององค์กร
– ความมุ่งมั่นเฉพาะอื่นๆเพื่อปกป้องสิ่งแวดล้อม ได้แก่ การใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างยั่งยืน (sustainable resource use)
การบรรเทาผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและปรับตัว (climate change mitigation and adaptation)
และการปกป้องความหลากหลายทาง ชีวภาพและระบบนิเวศ (protection of biodiversity and ecosystems)
4. สมรรถนะด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม
– เพิ่มความตระหนักในสมรรถนะด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยการเน้นในนโยบาย
5. แนวคิดวัฏจักรชีวิต
– เพิ่มการควบคุมทางตรงและทางอ้อมต่อผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เกี่ยวข้องตลอดวัฏจักรชีวิต
6. การสื่อสารที่ดีขึ้น
– มีกลยุทธ์ในการสื่อสารภายในและภายนอกรวมถึง stake holders สร้างกลไกลเพื่อให้มีข้อเสนอแนะในการปรับปรุงอย่างต่อเนื่อง
7. เอกสาร
– ตระหนักถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยี เช่น การใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ หรือ cloud
– เปลี่ยนการใช้คำว่า “documents” และ “records” เป็น“documented information”
